The Maldives is a tropical nation in the Indian Ocean composed of 26 ring-shaped atolls, which are made up of more than 1,000 coral islands. It’s known for its beaches, blue lagoons and extensive reefs. The giant ringlike coral formations stretch for hundreds of kilometres wide and have fragmented into several islands, sand banks and lagoons. There are no hills as the archipellago is entirely made of coral sand. The islands are too small to have rivers, but small lakes and marshes can be found in some of them.
All flights in Maldives must be done under control of Maldives Skysport Association because of airplanes traffic. We will be flying over these idyllic islands, using a tow winch starting from a sandbank near Fulidhoo island. We will choose one out of 2 possible take-offs everyday, according to the weather conditions. The winch can take you up to 800-1000m high and you’ll have a minimum of 10 / maximum 15 flights, according to the weather conditions.
